A qualitative method for detection of E. coli O157 in food and feeding stuffs is described.
The detection of E. coli O157 includes a selective enrichment for both 6-8 hours and 18-24 hours followed by immunomagnetic separation of E. coli O157 and plating of the separated culture on two different selective solid media.
