The method quantifies the potentially aflatoxin producing moulds
Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus and is suitable for routine detection of
food and feed that may be contaminated with aflatoxins, e.g. nuts, maize and spices. The method includes methodology using both dilution plating and direct plating techniques.
