New NordVal International certificate August 2021

NordVal International Certificate 046 “Salmonella Velox” issued to DNA Diagnostic A/S, has been extended and renewed. The alternative method “Salmonella Velox spp.” rapid qPCR test was extended by environmental and primary production samples. Sensitivity study and selectivity studies were also carried out for “Salmonella Velox SE+ST”, a rapid qPCR test for detection of S. Enteritidis and S. Typhimurium, and compared to the reference method. For the detection study, the “Salmonella Velox SE+ST” was compared to the qPCR CT curves of “Salmonella Velox spp.”. The method “Salmonella Velox spp. and Salmonella Velox SE + ST” is validated for raw meat, poultry and fishery products as well as ready-to-cook, ready-to-reheat and ready-to-eat meat, on swabs performed on raw food samples and in environmental and primary production samples.
