Description
The detection of Clostridium botulinum in a food sample is amined above all at confirming or ruling out suspicions that the food may be capable of causing botulism. The principle for the detection of Clostridium botulinum in foods can be used for other types of test materials, i.e. feeding stuffs. Identification is made primarily by identifying the toxin produced by the bacterium.
