Description
The method is based on extraction with ethyl acetate followed by determination with liquid chromatography (LC) and gas chromatography (GC) for determination. The multi residue method has been revised continuously resulting in an improved and simplified methodology for analysis of pesticides residues. For example, the need of sample clean-up has been eliminated for fruit and vegetables and to improve the recovery of basic pesticides the addition of sodium hydrogen carbonate ( NaHCO3) has been used to all matrices (fruit and vegetables). However, clean up step using gel permeation chromatography (GPC) is still needed for animal products with high fat content and ethyl acetate/cyclohexane is used for extraction.
