Description
Sugars. Identification by paper chromatography (the method is old and not fitted for routine analysis. However, the method is very illustrative and therefore very useful for instruction purposes). The sugars are separated chromatographically with ethyl acetat – glacial acetic acid – water as solvent. The spots are developed with silver nitrate solution, and the sugars are identified by comparison with a standard mixture of known sugars. Sugars (NMKL 33)
